Topher Payne, Atlanta's "best local playwright" (Creative Loafing, The GA Voice), sets this raucous satire in 1950s Washington, D.C., where a State Department official and his secretary -- both gay and both locked firmly in the closet -- have been tasked with ferreting out homosexuals in the department. To avoid detection, they've come up with what seems like the Perfect Arrangement: they've married each others' partners. But their sitcom-like situation may come crashing down around them when an employee discovers their deception. The play was originally developed at The Process Theatre and now returns after a hit run at D.C.'s Source Festival and winning the 2014 Osborn New Play Award from the American Theatre Critics Association.
