Maple and Vine finds a thoroughly modern couple opting to eschew 21st-century society to return to simpler times. Katha and Ryu, a successful but disaffected duo living in New York City, meet a charismatic man from a community of re-enactors who live as though it's now (and forever) 1955. Deciding to trade their cell phones and sushi for cigarettes and Tupperware parties -- their wi-fi for hi-hi -- this couple soon discovers that it's not so easy to exist authentically in a world stunted by outdated gender, race and sexual attitudes. This well-reviewed comedy by Jordan Harrison offers a provocative look at what some people are willing to give up for a life of ignorant bliss. Learn More

The Learical Jonez Entertainment Group (LJEG), a creative theatre company dedicated to opening minds and healing souls through words and music, is returning for an encore performance of their most controversial presentation,_ It’s A Thin Line._
The reprise of _It’s A Thin Line _is sure to be more powerful than its first time around, delivering the real deal on relationships, choices, actions and consequences.
“This play has been a whirlwind of evolution,” states writer, director and CEO of LJEG, Learical Jonez. “It all started in 2011 with my first play, ‘Aunt Sara’s Girls,’ which focused on a family of women who had been through generational hell in love, relationships and life experiences. It was a hit, we received rave reviews, but the audience demanded that we return with male voices who could explain themselves.” Thus, It’s A Thin Line was born, proving that there are always two sides to every story.
“It’s A Thin Line is more than a play… it’s an experience!" says LJEG coordinator, LaQuita Wheeler. “Our goal is to hit home and penetrate the hearts and thoughts of our audience with real, raw emotion so that the message can, in some way, change lives. The only way we’ve been able to accomplish that, thus far, is by showcasing some of Atlanta’s most promising talent.”
The show features a combination of Atlanta’s poets, musical artists, newcomers and radio personalities, including: Doug Berry, Bridgette Levi, MD The Great, Wiley Battle, Martina “Journee Poetess” Baker, Kelvin Rowe, Terese Menifee, Gerrod Huggins, Jessica Dancy, Candace Nicole and Da-Da Lewis (V-103). Past performers include former V-103 personalities Rashan Ali, Elle Duncan and Tangie Larkin.
