Full of sizzling songs, seductive dance numbers and a story that packs a powerful punch in our fame-obsessed society, Chicago is set amidst the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s. It's the story of convicted murderers Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, who will stop at nothing to get the attention of the press and celebrity attorney Billy Flynn. Their malicious crimes turn them into media darlings, producing a barrage of sensational headlines, the likes of which might just as easily be ripped from today's tabloids. A smash on Broadway and in its film adaptation, this biting satire features the unforgettable music of John Kander and Fred Ebb, including "All That Jazz," "Cell Block Tango" and many more hits. It really was a lot of fun and I do recommend it. The theatre is just behind Miller Union and you can combine a good meal with your theatre experience.
