Set in 1954 in a Puget Sound community divided among fishermen and farmers, whites and Japanese-Americans, Snow Falling on Cedars is a courtroom drama, a mystery, a love story and, in flashbacks, a social commentary on the angry residue of World War II and the anti-Japanese hysteria that led to the creation of internment camps. Kabuo Miyamoto is charged with murder, and it turns out that his wife's spurned white lover, Ishmael, holds the information that could set him free. The island's prejudices, jealousies and ancient grievances threaten to boil over into an act of injustice from which there will be no return. Based on David Guterson's 1994 award-winning novel, the play makes for a moving and intimate theatrical experience. Playwright Kevin McKeon expertly captures the beauty and mystery of Guterson's first and most successful novel. Learn More

Terrific one-man show. Great, passionate delivery, although his Boston accent seemed better for JFK than RFK.
A couple details worth fixing: 1) the DC suburb of McLean, Virginia, is pronounced McLAIN, not McLEEN. 2) the Jefferson Starship album Red Octopus (one of the records in the stack by the armchair) was NOT released until long after Bobby died.
About the Ticket Supplier: Vintage Theatre
Vintage Theatre Productions was founded by Craig Bond and friends in August 2002, over martinis. This evening spent with friends launched our mission to bring the best quality theatre to the Front Range! We entered our space on 17th Avenue in 2008 and temained there for four years as we grew our company artistically. In March 2012 we decided to purchase our new location at 1468 Dayton St Aurora 80010, joining the Aurora Arts District.
We staged two shows the first year, nine in 2012...and now have three performance spaces under one roof with the Jeffrey Nickelson Auditiorium (145 seats), the Bond Trimble Theatre (67 Seats) and our lobby raised stage (60 seats). All areas are completely sound proofed, air conditioned, and provide a full bar service. And of course free parking!
