One of the most endearing -- and offbeat -- love stories ever to hit the silver screen, Harold and Maude is still as fresh, funny and charming as when it was released in 1971. Set to the timeless songs of Cat Stevens, the dark romantic comedy centers around a bright but macabre young man named Harold who drifts away from the life that his detached mother has prescribed for him. Harold develops a close friendship (and eventually a romantic relationship) with 79-year-old Maude, who teaches him about living life to its fullest and that life is the most precious gift of all. This production by the Vintage Theatre will reunite comic actress Debbie Persoff as Maude and Pam Clifton as director in this highly anticipated play based on the film. Learn More

The cast and set were amazing. The only drawback that I saw was that there were a few moments of "dead air" between scenes occasionally, but it was due to the set changes behind the curtain. As a Young Frankenstein movie fan, I was afrad that the play would not be very exciting, but the animated cast made the entire stage entertaining in every scene. I was concerned that this movie would not translate well into a musical, since "Putting on the Ritz" was the only song in the original, but I really enjoyed a lot of the songs added, including "Roll in the Hay" and He Was My Boyfriend". Everyone involved did a great job!

I loved it! I had never been to this theater before, and was not expecting such a professional experience. The singing, dancing, staging, costumes and acting were way above my expectations, and deliciously enjoyable. I have even recommended it to...continued
About the Ticket Supplier: Vintage Theatre
Vintage Theatre Productions was founded by Craig Bond and friends in August 2002, over martinis. This evening spent with friends launched our mission to bring the best quality theatre to the Front Range! We entered our space on 17th Avenue in 2008 and temained there for four years as we grew our company artistically. In March 2012 we decided to purchase our new location at 1468 Dayton St Aurora 80010, joining the Aurora Arts District.
We staged two shows the first year, nine in 2012…and now have three performance spaces under one roof with the Jeffrey Nickelson Auditiorium (145 seats), the Bond Trimble Theatre (67 Seats) and our lobby raised stage (60 seats). All areas are completely sound proofed, air conditioned, and provide a full bar service. And of course free parking!
