Still the sexiest of the great American musicals, John Kander and Fred Ebb's Cabaret comes vividly to life at Citadel Theatre. This acclaimed musical revolves around the romantic intrigues of cabaret singer Sally Bowles, young American writer Cliff Bradshaw and other denizens of the seedy Kit Kat Klub, amid the backdrop of the Nazis' rise to power in 1930s Berlin. Played out with commentary from the club's darkly comic Emcee, the show's memorable songs include the title tune, along with "Willkommen," and "Tomorrow Belongs to Me." Learn More

Not at all what I expected. We brought our 8 year old grandson. We take him to a few local and professional performances each year. This was our first time here. He enjoyed it, but thought it was 3 mom's playing around. This was 3 young women who, you could tell are good friends and enjoy doing this. They each played multiple roles with very rudimentary props to identify each character. Much of what happened on stage was improv with a very sketchy basic storyline. My husband and I probably had more fun than my grandson; though he liked the interaction of the actors with the children of the audience and had no problem following the story. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for the tickets because we also had to purchase 1 food/drink item per person. The total tab on the event came to $35 for 3 people (with tix & tip). While there are more professional performances out there, this was great fun! We all enjoyed it. We're looking into some of the comedy nights that might interest us grownups in the future.
