Four-time Grammy-winner Lyle Lovett plays The Lyric for a summer evening concert. The singer-songwriter's wise, witty lyrics and blend of folk, country, blues and jazz have earned him widespread critical acclaim and more than four million album sales. A native Texan, Lovett has been a roundly respected star since his self-titled 1986 debut LP, which spawned the singles "Farther Down the Line" and "Cowboy Man." His hits since then have included "Give Back My Heart," "If I Had a Boat," "Don't Touch My Hat" and a cover of the classic "Stand by Your Man." In February Lovett released his 14th album, Release Me -- representing the end of an era, as it's his last record for Curb/Universal Music Group after being on the label for his entire career.
