Bully Union: Local 128*

Baltimore, MD

Friday @ 10:00pm

The Bully Union: Local 128 was formed with the aim of creating grounded, long-form performances which organically explore a series of connected ideas through a narrative of interweaving scenes. By then adapting this format to incorporate thematic frameworks, intersections between topic and context drive us to explore new ideas and find unexpected answers. Over the past year, we have performed throughout the US, including in Washington, Providence, and Chicago. Combining our approach with the eccentric and unique perspective of the city which brought us David Simon’s The Wire and John Waters’ Hairspray means we promise one thing; its gonna get weird.

*

Chet Watkins*

New York, NY

Saturday @ 8:30pm

Assembled by Armando Diaz in 2009, Chet Watkins has been tearing up the stage at the Magnet Theater weekly in New York City for over four years. Sometimes literally, we’ve broken at least four stage doors. Chet Watkins performs high-energy, character-driven Harolds that fully explore the audience suggestion in ways unforeseen and as God never intended.

EagleFox*

New York, NY

Sunday @ 7:00pm

It was born this way. EagleFox begins in a Monoscene, and as characters and ideas emerge they break out too explore them. What starts slow builds into a crazy, high-energy explosion by the end. EagleFox Members can be seen on several House Teams at the Magnet Theater in New York, and as a group are an Official Selection of the 2012 Toronto Improv Festival and the 2013 North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival. They are the third-ever 9-time Champions of the Magnet’s Inspirado Cagematch.

*

Evan The Loyal*

Baltimore, MD

Wednesday @ 7:30pm

Longtime BIG members Prescott Gaylord and Mike Harris have developed a show whose wild physicality has dragged audience members (sometimes literally) into the show, and sent theater owners sprinting off to check out their liability waivers. The members of ETL have been invited performers at festivals in Chicago, Austin, Philadelphia, and D.C. No audience members will be harmed as part of their performance. The same cannot be said of them.

*

Honey*

New York, NY

Saturday @ 10:00pm

Honey is a sweet substance created by the group mind of bees. Honey is also a sweet improv show created by the group mind of 5 New York City improvisers. Scenes are created with strong vision of group mind that finds the team moving together as one person. It’s Voltron, on stage. Inspired by 4-Track, Trike and Armando Diaz, Honey plays at the Magnet Theater in New York City. Honey was an official selection of the 2013 Phoenix Improv Festival, 2012 Detroit Improv Festival and the 2012 Fall Back Festival in Rochester, NY. Nick Armstrong of IO West described Honey as the “perfect example of group mind on stage”. We were pretty honored by that one. Thanks Nick.
