Grammy-winner Kenny Loggins performs his greatest hits at The Lyric, joined on stage by his new band, Blue Sky Riders. The veteran singer-songwriter first found fame in the '70s as half of the folk-rock duo Loggins and Messina ("Danny's Song, Your Mama Don't Dance"), and followed that up with a successful solo career ("Whenever I Call You Friend," "This Is It"). Since then, he's become the king of soundtracks, with massive hit songs like "Footloose," "Danger Zone" from Top Gun
and "I'm Alright" from Caddyshack
. Now Loggins is writing yet another chapter in his storied career by teaming with two all-star country musicians to form Blue Sky Riders. Country Music Hall of Famer Gary Burr has written hits for everyone from Conway Twitty to Christina Aguilera, while singer-songwriter Georgia Middleman's songs have been recorded by some of the top artists in country, including Keith Urban, Faith Hill and Martina McBride. Blue Sky Riders released their debut album this year and have already appeared as a musical guest on The Tonight Show
and at the prestigious SXSW music fest in Austin.
