Love, passion and romance are the hallmarks of French grand opera, featuring prominently in works such as Roméo et Juliette, Manon, Faust and beyond. Now The Lyric brings together some of the world's famous love songs together for Toujours L'Amour, a celebration of French Grand Opera that showcases its most romantic music. Baltimore favorite Edward Polochick leads the Baltimore Concert Artists Orchestra in a show that features opera stars soprano Nicole Cabell and tenor Stephen Costello -- both renowned internationally for their stage presence and charisma, not to mention their incredible pipes. Sung in French with English surtitles. Learn More

Good seats, good performance, some excellent voices. The lead actor did a great job as Don Quixote--very convicing as that character. He could certainly put over a song, though his voice was one of those that "talked/sang" many of the notes rather than really sang. On the other hand, the actor who portrayed the Padre had one ofthe most gorgeous, operatic voices I've ever heard.
