We got great seats! Goldstar seemed to forget to mention that there was a mandatory 2-item menu order minimum with the tickets. The show was funny, but nothing spectacular.

Greg Fitzsimmons brought it! There's a whole lotta funny in that slight package. Some of his material is scatological - not my favorite, but his wasn't overly gross. Some very clever as well. At one point (commenting on how we treat stray dogs vs. stray people), he was completely channeling George Carlin.

He was deft with dispatching hecklers, too. I kinda wished he'd have told them to STFU, but he was patient and just tried to get back to his routine. In my 11 times seeing professional comedy at this venue, I've never witnessed any heckling at all. The brazenness of some people surprised me -- maybe "No heckling" should be added to the guidelines at the top, along with no photos, no cell phones, etc.

My stomach ached at the end, which is always a good thing. Highly recommend Fitzsimmons.

On the flip side, the opening acts were horrible, as is too often the case. Host Jay Hollingsworth just isn't funny, and Morgan-something is clearly a bottom feeder in the comedy world. I have had the misfortune of listening to his (same) routine several times, and it is truly cringe-worthy. He looks like a homeless person and seems to hate women. I sure wish that the talent booker at Parlor Live would cut him from its roster. Ugh.

Greg Fitzsimmons was very funny...there were lots of LOL moments and his way of going right into the audience on occasion made more than a few people squirm. He did close to an hour of comedy and it was smart comedy for the most part. We liked the warm-up acts okay, but not great.

This was our first experience at Parlor Live and we found it quite tightly packed and the music blasting way too loud before the show started. Other than that, it was fine and I would return because of the quality of the comedy. Really appreciated the Goldstar offer and service!

Greg Fitzsimmons was Amazing! I'd been meaning to catch comedy at the Parlor for a while, and on a whim, tried it last friday. Greg was very funny and pulled off the rare balancing act of doing smart comedy amidst a lot of masturbation jokes. And it worked. I picked up his book there too, which is great fun too. And the opener was super great too (kind of a steven wright-type, and very smart jokes). I loved the comedy. The room is great too. But, the Parlor customer service/food ordering experience sucked! Went early, sat in bar to grab a bite -- sat there for 20 min (no joke) and never offered a drink or anything. Did get one "be right back" from a server, who never came back. Instead headed into the club when doors opened. Ordered food in there. Menu said 50% off happy hour until 7pm -- we ordered before 7pm. Bill had full price. I didn't make a fuss, since the ticket experience on Goldstar was amazing, and I saved a bunch of $$. SO, guess it all evened out. All in all - great comedy/club experience. I do recommend the Parlor -- but eat/drink somewhere else beforehand.
