Tom Papa was great! 50 minutes went really fast - I could have listened to him for another hour.
Didn't care much for the opening acts (Justin was OK), but they were far less objectionable than some of the others I've seen at the Parlor in the past. Not seeing Jay this time was nice.
Food service wasn't great -- probably not enough servers for the crowd. And the food was fine for pub fare. Soda was flat, but given the difficulty in getting service, I just let it go.
Overall, a pleasant evening. And Goldstar prices help!
As an actor, Papa starred opposite Matt Damon in the Soderbergh film, The Informant, and his voice acting credits include The Haunted World of El Superbeasto and Bee Movie. Among his other big screen credits are the films Analyze That opposite Robert DeNiro, and Comedian.
Papa had a recurring role opposite Julia Louis-Dreyfus on the CBS series, The New Adventures of Old Christine. Papa opened his one-man show, Only Human, to rave reviews at the prestigious Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, and he continues to tour live with Jerry Seinfeld.
