Aussie comic and media personality Wil Anderson is headlining at Parlor Live Comedy Club. In his native country he is well-known as the host of popular panel show The Gruen Transfer, which was an instant water-cooler conversation starter and had the highest-rated debut for an entertainment program in ABC's history. Although he became famous for his radio and TV career, his first love is stand-up comedy, and his Helpmann Award-winning stand-up show Wilful Misconduct played to sell-out audiences across Australia and New Zealand and was nominated for the People's Choice Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. In the states, Anderson makes regular appearances on Chelsea Lately when he's not hitting the stage at comedy clubs. The show will also feature special guest Dan St. Germain. I've seen a couple of other acts here and was about to give up on this venue but this one was great. Both the MC and opening acts were funny and by the end, my stomach hurt from laughing so much...!

This was a great show. The two warm up comedians were funny and did a great job. Tom Papa was hilarious as usual.

Great show!!! Haven't laughed that hard for that long in awhile!!! Wish the show was longer in regards to Tom Papa. The other comedians were good and had some good laughs, but Tom was by far the best!!

Description

As an actor, Papa starred opposite Matt Damon in the Soderbergh film, The Informant, and his voice acting credits include The Haunted World of El Superbeasto and Bee Movie. Among his other big screen credits are the films Analyze That opposite Robert DeNiro, and Comedian.

Papa had a recurring role opposite Julia Louis-Dreyfus on the CBS series, The New Adventures of Old Christine. Papa opened his one-man show, Only Human, to rave reviews at the prestigious Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, and he continues to tour live with Jerry Seinfeld.
