We enjoyed the performance, thought the actors were really good, especially the narrator, sets were effective, and story had an interesting twist. I'd have enjoyed it more with less foul language, but wouldn't skip seeing it because of that...continued

I decided to attend this production because I've seen all three actors in other plays and enjoy their work. I’m so glad that I did. This play allows all three to truly shine. The use of the device of the unreliable self aware narrator takes...continued

A thought-provoking exploration of racial tensions in a small town in the US. Acting was excellent. Subject matter could be controversial.

When I mentioned to a friend that I was going to see a Neil LaBute play, he responded, "I think he is a mean spirited jerk who treats me (the audience) and his characters without any respect." Funnily enough, though, I have now seen not one but...continued

excellent production. great acting and challenging, provocative script. Always with Labute we are confronted with uncomfortable issues many do not want to face or talk about. Highly recommended

First of all I love Goldstar for giving me the opportunity to take advantage of all the great theater in the Bay Area. The direction of the production enhanced the audience's engagement(there are no bad seats in the house) Acting too was terrific,...continued

Small intimate theatre is terrific. No bad seats. Plays are first rate. I took BART from Walnut Creek as Aurora is two blocks away from station. Went to Hotel Five for Happy hour drinks and eats. All my Goldstar experiences have been excellent.

Highly recommended because of the acting and directing. 3 absolutely terrific actors...esp Gabe Marin in the most difficult role. I always love Labute's edginess but there were holes in the script. Id he is not trading his wife for a Jackie...continued

Very funny, dark, and cleverly constructed play, beautifully performed in an intimate venue.

Enjoyed the acting and the dialog...but, I didn't get all the "racial hype." It seemed like a normal day in the neighborhood for me!

I can't fault the production of this play in any way. The three actors were all excellent, and brought out the humor of LaBute's play, but I walked away with an uneasy feeling. While the play seems to be exploring racial relations I couldn't...continued

Great play and strong performances. The theater format was distracting, being in the round.

I really enjoyed this performance, e.g., I was surprised when the play ended as it had
not seemed that long (there was no intermission). The way the theater and stage are crafted the audience is almost included in the setting, and this makes it...continued

The Aurora Theater produces a wide variety of theater. Truth be told, Neil LaBute's plays, however well written, are often edgy to the point of being offensive AND depressing. This play is NO exception. That said, the production is first-rate,...continued

This Is How It Goes is a very powerful, thought-provoking piece of theater. LaBute doesn't shy away from volatile issues and puts some very uncomfortable truths in front of the audience. On Tuesday night it prompted an audience member outburst...continued
