If you like Latin music, if you like jazz, or - ideally - if you like both - you must attend a performance by this group. What fun and what energy! They came ready to party. Needed a dance floor, however, and jazz club venue, as they can certainly get a group going. They would be marvelous for a New Year's Eve performance.Written on Apr 20 2011

YEs, the music was fantastic! The crowd at Zellerbach, rude and stiff!Written on Apr 21 2011
Why one of the best bands around, known for a good time and DANCING would be at Zellerbach, i will never understand. I will not attend anything at Zellerbach again for this reason. Berkeley crowd was lame, pretentious, and stiff. Yuck. Left halfway through.

Description
A towering artistic figure in his homeland, Juan de Marcos González (formerly tres player for Sierra Maestra) is a man on a mission—to display to the world the wealth, diversity, and vitality of Cuban music. His All Stars' 1997 album, A Toda Cuba Le Gusta, was the first to be recorded during the now-legendary Buena Vista Social Club sessions. Today, concerts with the orchestra celebrate the classic montuno sound with a rich mix of all styles of Cuban music, including timba, guajira, and Afro-Cuban jazz.
