We sat at second last row. It was hard to hear sometime. If your hearing is not perfect, sit closer to stage.

All My Children is a wondefully inventive tale told by a masterful story teller, and another hit for The Marsh.

This is a terrific piece. Starts slow, quirky, and gains momentum as you settle in for a lovely ride. Matt/Max is a wonderful bit of humanity.

Written and Performed by Matt Smith

Directed by Bret Fetzer

Wry and shocking, All My Children is Matt Smith’s first solo show in six years.

The show is recommended for ages 13 and up.

Matt Smith is a world-class fundraising auctioneer, a partner on the web-based Cookus Interruptus, a communication consultant for organizations and a co-facilitator of breakthrough improv retreats with San Francisco’s Rebecca Stockley. He is also an ambassador for “Hanford Challenge,” an organization committed to the cleanup of The Hanford Nuclear Waste site. His solo works include My Last Year with the Nuns, Helium, Beyond Kindness and My Boat to Bainbridge (all directed by Bret Fetzer.) Smith co-founded the legendary Seattle Improv in 1985 and Stark/RavingTheatre with Ed Sampson in 1988. All My Children was commissioned by Hugo House in Seattle after its inception at The Hugo House Literary Series in February 2010, and debuted there in its present form in May 2010.
