Beautiful voice, excellent accompanist. A recital hall would have been a better venue, but it was in any case much appreciated to be able to hear this definitive performance, so lovely, so memorable.

Bostridge and Drake were both remarkable and it was a very moving performance. Doing it in Zellerbach was a mistake, however, for such an intimate piece. I sat half way back in the orchestra and had to strain to hear some of the singing, partly because the air conditioning is very noisy and didn't stop until the last two songs, and because Zellerbach is simply too barnlike for such a piece, or for such a performer.

Bostridge and Drake are amazing musicians. The hall was a bit big -- would have loved to have heard this program in a recital hall.
