Description

Traditionalist and visionary Nati Cano and his famed Los Camperos, the group he founded and directs, have been a fixture in the Los Angeles area and a driving force in the North American mariachi tradition for more than 40 years. During this time, they have both mirrored and shaped the history of mariachi music, performing with a vibrancy and intensity that distinguish them as one of the finest mariachi bands in the world. Cano and Los Camperos return to Berkeley after many years with a program showcasing Mexico’s most enduring sones and canciones rancheras (country songs).
