Active Arts Theatre for Young Audiences
Active Arts Theatre for Young Audiences is a professional, nonprofit theater company founded by veteran actors from the Bay Area's vibrant theater scene, along with local visual artists and educators. All of the company's repertory is performed by a cast of professional adult actors, instead of the standard mix of young performers and adults. Since the company's debut in 2004, Active Arts has performed for more than 8,000 children and families. In addition to their season at the Julia Morgan Center for the Arts, Active Arts performs at the Bay Area Discovery Center and at libraries, community centers and in schools on both sides of the bay.
