Talented young women ages 11 to 18 from across the San Francisco Bay Area will join their voices in seasonal song for Young Women's Choral Projects' Gifts of the Season: Spirit, Peace & Joy!
This festive program features Benjamin Britten's magnificent Missa Brevis in D
with organist Jonathan Dimmock, spiritual, peaceful and joyful music by Hildegard von Bingen, Francisco Guerrero, Frank La Rocca and Abbie Betinis, as well as familiar carols of the season with opportunities for you to sing along. Under the artistic leadership of Dr. Susan McMane (who will conduct this show), the YWC transforms the lives of young women through exceptional artistry in choral performance and brings the expressive power of the group's music to the community, the nation and the world.

Through the Young Women’s Choral Projects, participants from diverse cultural, educational and socio-economic backgrounds find their voices as singers, artists and women in a nurturing musical environment that empowers them to artistic and personal excellence. The collaborative experience of learning and creating high-quality choral music fosters the development of each young woman both musically and individually, as well as teaches them important life skills like dedication, commitment to themselves and to one another, and working in community.
