Set in a haunted mansion in rural Ireland in 1822, The Veil weaves Ireland's troubled colonial history into a transfixing story about the search for love and the circularity of time. Written by Conor McPherson, the Tony-winning playwright of The Seafarer, the atmospheric play features a crumbling estate, a hasty marriage to settle debts, strange voices and, ultimately, a séance -- the consequences of which are catastrophic. This is the U.S. premiere of McPherson's acclaimed drama, which debuted in 2011 at London's National Theatre, where it was described as a Chekhovian play "full of ghosts and things that go bump in the night ... [a] strange and fitfully entertaining drama" (The Telegraph). Learn More

The cast was so talented I was floored. They made improv look so easy. It flowed as well as a scripted play, but had more energy because it was not. I particularly appreciated the G-rated treatment of more mature themes, because there were a few underage audience members, including my daughter.
Precipice Improv Theater creates original, never-seen-before and
never-to-be-seen again, totally improvised comic plays from audience
Last week the audience suggested a funeral parlor and an iceberg. From this, Precipice improvised a comic tale of two sons who receive surprise revelations about their dead mother’s sex life, sending them a journey involving threesomes, the priesthood, and a trip to an iceberg. What will the next show be about? Come and find out!
