This was a terrific concert with three highly accomplished musicians. The acoustics were good considering it was in a church and the pew seating was tolerable. There was a lecture prior to the concert and a reception afterward where you could buy and have autographed cds by each of the artists. I heard for the first time the playing of a cuatro by Gustavo Colina and a superb duet with Barbosa-Lima on guitar and Hendrik Meurkens on harmonica/mouth organ. Meurkens' solo, a plaintive piece, resembled romantic music one might hear in a sad French movie--very romantic! I was wowed! I'll look for all and any of these excellent musicians when they next visit the DC area. Thank you!
