Description
Simon Powis completed his studies in Sydney, Australia at the Conservatorium of Music in 2004, then set out to personally study with some of the world’s renowned virtuosos: Oscar Ghiglia, David Russell and Pavel Steidl. Mr. Powis was accepted to Yale University on full scholarship and completed a Master of Music and doctoral studies with Ben Verdery.
Mr. Powis has toured extensively as a soloist. His passionate and expressive playing, coupled with a formidable technique, has generated much attention for this talented young guitarist.
