Great story with a terrific message. The acting was top notch and the singing inspirational. There is not a bad seat at Imagination Stage. Their productions have never disappointed me!

In this world premiere rock musical, the year is 1972. The place is Pittsburgh, where legendary baseball player Roberto Clemente is at the top of his game. Sam Kowalski and the neighborhood baseball-playing kids are in an intense competition to win the chance to meet Clemente in person. But it is their hero’s fateful off-field actions while aiding natural disaster victims in Nicaragua that teach the kids about what is more important in life than winning.
