The John E. Marlow Guitar Series is part of the International Conservatory of Music, a non-profit charity. It's mission is to enrich the musical life of the residents of metropolitan Washington, D.C.

John E. Marlow was a composer, performer and educator. A faculty member of the American University, John inspired and assisted generations of guitar lovers with his talent, commitment to excellence and personality. Few are the guitar professionals in Washington whose work was not touched by John. The Conservatory and Washington's guitar community have chosen to commemorate this outstanding human being with an annual living memorial--The John E. Marlow Guitar Series.
