An international hit, this inspiring musical parody showcases the funny sides of a woman's "change of life." As four women with little in common but a black lace bra meet by chance at a lingerie sale in a department store, they poke fun at their woeful hot flashes, forgetfulness, mood swings, wrinkles, night sweats and chocolate binges. With classic tunes from the '60s, '70s and '80s pushing the action along, these diverse women create a sisterhood as they realize that menopause is a shared experience that doesn't have to be suffered in silence. Poorly organized, started 45 minutes late and consisted many of people praising others and very little entertainment. I was totally disappointed in this event. Next year I would not even consider attending. Ask me how I really feel ? and everyone around me felt the same way.

The show did not start on time because the box office was inefficient in getting people their tickets. There was waaaay too much talking. The singers I found to be uninspiring. I left early. So, I can't comment on the entire show.
The Diva Foundation is a national not-for-profit 501C(3) charitable organization that was founded by actress/honored activist,Sheryl Lee Ralph, in 1991, as a memorial to the many friends she had lost to HIV/AIDS. The organization focuses on generating resources and coordinating activities to create awareness of and combat against HIV/AID. The DIVA Foundation utilizes music and entertainment as a vehicle to inform, educate and erase the stigma attached to this deadly disease.
This year's event marks the 18th year of Divas Simply Singing. The show is known for its unparallel mixture of comedy, song, beauty, fashion and the kind of heartfelt human compassion that links generations, races, subcultures and unifies us all in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Diverse talents such as Chaka Khan, Oleta Adams, Melissa manchester, Dianne Reeves, Roberta Flack, Eartha Kitt, Stephanie Mills, Stacey "Fergie" Ferguson, Raven, Miss. Nancy Wilson, and many others have all raised their voices in song and support of Divas Simply Singing.
Divas Simply Singing has given assistance to organizations such as Project Angel Food, Caring for Babies with AIDS, Minority AIDS project, National Minority AIDS Council, and AIDS Healthcare Foundation.
