This stage adaptation of E.B. White's novel joins actors with a 30-piece orchestra and a trumpet soloist to tell an uplifting story of a swan born without a voice. To overcome this obstacle, trumpeter swan Louis learns to play a real trumpet given to him by his father. With the help of a young boy named Sam, Louis conquers adversity and attains the gift of music through his father's heroic love. Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Marsha Norman and Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown collaborate to tell the enchanting story of The Trumpet of the Swan. Learn More

Excellent, hard-working actors...we had a ball! We are old folks and don't even have access to any children to use as beards...so I was a bit worried about this whole thing. In this case, fortunately, the hearty reactions of the kids in the audience were a BIG contributor to how fun it was for all. (Also a chance to sniff around the new performance center - nice!)
You must be age 8 or older to attend.
Running time is approximately 65 minutes.
