Nice event. Good actors. Lily Tomlin (reading the action) had a cold or something but that's not her fault. Good writing too! And for a good cause. Down with Proposition 8!Written on Oct 05 2010

One of the most tender performances I've seen in a while. As you watch the actors speak the lines of the stories that weave through the vignettes, the stage, microphones, and scripts disappear - in front of you is a bar or a park or an ocean front.Written on Oct 06 2010
Full of laughter and tears - just like life - just like all the wonderful gay men of past and present.

play has wit, leaves you with something to think about. Handled each aspect with laughter and thought. could use a bit more editing and expanding of ideas. would enjoy seeing it again after some add'l writing. Wish more people saw it, a great evening out.Written on Oct 05 2010

More Information About Some Men
Description
Some Men a play written by Tony Award winning playwright Terrence McNally chronicles the lives of gay men in the United States over the past 80 years, and looks at the challenges, the victories, the sorrows and the joys of this history through the prism of love and marriage. This West Coast premiere will be read in concert by Alan Cumming, Jason Ritter, John Glover, Luke MacFarlane, Jeffrey Tambor, Justin Kirk and others, to support "Testimony," a project of the Courage Campaign Institute. Testimony is designed to bring the Prop 8 trial into the lives of Americans and empower them -- gay and straight -- to share their stories and change the way America thinks about LGBT rights. Please note this is a staged reading not a fully produced production.
