The Saban Theatre's inside management appeared unclear and duplicitous about many of its "house" rules and policies. The main doors to the theatre were advertised to open at 6 pm. We in line who had been waiting since 5 pm because we were General Admission (GA) ticket holders were aghast at being told at 6:05 that doors wouldn't open til 7 or 7:30!!! After about 20 more minutes we were finally permitted entry. All GA ticket holders proceeded up the staircase to the second floor to choose our balcony seats. The doors were open so we helped ourselves to find our seats. As we were getting situated we were then told to VACATE the theater interior and bring out all our belongings because we were in actuality occupying "Mezzanine" seats. "Our Seats" were really BEHIND us--in the "Rear Balcony." We were told to exit the theatre so that we could instead enjoy the snacks and drinks in the "lounge" areas of the 1st and 2nd floor lobbies! For at least an hour! So what the majority of GA's did was form multiple lines at the Mezanine/Balcony doors till House Staff decided we could again be allowed inside to look for seats. You can't imagine the crush of people waiting. Finally at 7:30 or 7:45 all the doors TO THE auditorium we're let open. This was my introduction to the Saban Theatre. The Fab Four show thankfully was phenomenal. Talented, professional perfectionists who totally entertained and what's more, INSPIRED. Wish the Saban Theatre staffers could take notes from them and provide their customers a similar stellar experience. From only one staffer did I receive consolation: the second floor bartender--calm, kind, upbeat, fair and patient. Kudos to him!
