Be among the first to hear songs from a brand-new musical by Outré Theatre Company's own Kristen Long. Set in present-day New Orleans, the story of The Journey is spun by a streetwise voodoo sorcerer, who tells of five different characters thrown together by fate. But each of them must choose their own path going forward in order to rise out of their dark world of homelessness, abuse, prostitution and drugs. This concert version of the show is not a full production, but an introduction to the score, which reflects the eclectic music of the Crescent City. Learn More
Especially on a Saturday night, arrive very early as FREE parking is difficult to find. Although free, the lots fill up quickly and are very difficult to navigate, when crowded. Go early, have dinner in one of the many restaurants and arrive to the theater unfrazzled!travel • Sep 23 2013 star this tip starred

I was not aware that this was a "concert performance" and not a fully realized production so I was a little disappointed at first but I must say that the cast was excellent with really talented singers and dancers and it was really enjoyable.
This production contains strong language. Parental discretion is strongly advised.
