Set on the eve of the Spanish-American War, this new play tells the story of Adela who finds rebellion on her doorsteps whether she wants to or not. Although the widowed pharmacist tries to carry on with her life despite the growing conflict around her, she has no choice but to get involved and must choose between her country and her family. Great venue for an intimate, multi-themed production. I liked the direction, set, lighting and sound but the acting was a bit stiff, did not feel natural. The themes are provocative. The production has merit and should do well once the actors loosen up a bit.
Directed by Rebecca Bradshaw
Featuring Boston actors Kathryn Lynch and Kyler Taustin, with New York actor Kevin Little rounding out the cast
