The show was great fun. The Group did a fabulous job. It was highly entertaining watching the other audience members REALLY getting into the music and dancing in the aisles.Written on Jun 10 2009

I really liked this event because the performers had wonderful voices and sang in perfect harmony. However, the venue is so small that the sound is incredibly loud. So loud in fact that it took away from our being able to really enjoy the production.Written on May 04 2009
Had this event been held in a larger theatre it would have been amazing and the performers probably could have played to more of a packed house.

This was an amazing performance and I highly recommend it. The musicians and singers had boundless energy. Their wonderful performance included some of the great classics of rock.Written on May 04 2009
Sadly, the theatre was only half-full. It's a double shame because it's a great show and because these performers deserve a large and engaged audience.

Quotes & Highlights
- "A Night At The Rock Opera is looking like a local institution in the making...a grandiose fist-in-the-air salute to all things rock." --The Boston Herald
Description

19 incredible musicians and singers present an evening of songs from the most decadent and glitter-crazed era of rock 'n' roll.
The Ulltrasonic Rock Orchestra brings the often heard but rarely performed crown jewels of classic rock to vivid life: Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Somebody To Love," The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again," David Bowie's "Ziggy Stardust" and "Space Oddity," The Beatles' "Abbey Road" and many more.
The Ultrasonic Rock Orchestra is an awe-inspiring night of high energy and over-the-top rock fun. "The spectacle on stage is more party than opera. The URO brings off even the most intricate of rock pieces with effortless ease, lighthearted humor, and an audacious display of vocal prowess," says the Boston Globe.
The band performs songs by The Who, The Beatles, Bowie, and Queen, with a few selections from URO's original rock opera Will We Rock You?.

About the Ticket Supplier: Stuart Street Playhouse
Originally built as a cinema in 1970, the Stuart Street Playhouse was converted into a live performance space called the 57 Theater in the summer of 1996. Early productions included The Male Intellect: An Oxymoron, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and Eddie Izzard. Throughout 1999 and 2000, the theater was redesigned by noted Boston theater architect Thomas Bakalars complete with a new outer lobby designed by Prellwitz/Chilinsky Architects.
In the fall of 2000, Producing Director Nick Paleologos inaugurated the newly renamed Stuart Street Playhouse with the long running hit I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. Subsequent productions include Back From Broadway, Stomp, Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, Momologues, Forever Plaid, Menopause The Musical, and Broad Comedy.
Now, Respect, A Musical Journey settles in for an extended run. This crowd pleasing romp traces the trials and tribulations of American women through the music and lyrics of some of the most memorable top 40 hits of the twentieth century. A must see.
