It was delightful. My friends and I had a nice time, and very much enjoyed the music. The Boston Civic Symphony did a great job.
I did not give the event 5 stars because the will call process at Jordan Hall is abysmally poorly organized. The show started ten minutes late because of all the patrons who were standing in line for will call tickets. I won't bore anyone with details, but must ask that some sort of plan be worked out by the establishment for the speedy dispersal of tickets.

I love all Beethoven, but was listening to whole Concerto # 4 first time. It is so beautiful. Everything: music, performance, pianist,
great orchestra, conductor, audience, view from my seat – delight; could not expect more.
I got so nice time despite nasty weather.

Jordan Hall is beautiful, concert was terrific, ecoustics great but the first row of the balcony (row A)has obstructed view. I was unable to see the conductor, the piano, and the first row or so of musicians.

Boston Civic Symphony
Founded in 1924 by the late educator, conductor and composer, Joseph Wagner, the Boston Civic Symphony is the second oldest symphony orchestra in the city. As one of Boston's most respected musical organizations, the BCS has distinguished itself from other local musical groups through its focus on presenting an unusually broad range of music by exceptionally skilled students and amateurs and through its emphasis on developing a broad-based audience. The BCS has defined its objectives as follows:
To encourage attendance by a diverse population from the Greater Boston area by offering moderately priced tickets and by distribution of a number of free tickets to underserved populations in Boston.
To provide orchestral training and experience under competent direction for teachers, students of music who are preparing for professional careers, and skilled amateurs.
To offer performances of unusual and contemporary works, with a special focus on American compositions, with leading soloists. The BCS performs four major concerts, which offer a range of classical and contemporary music.
The BCS's presentation of works by masters like Mozart, Beethoven and Brahms is balanced by its performances of pieces by contemporary American composers.
