Not enough seating for the number of tickets sold to this event. Also, for a semi-finalist show not all the comedians were the caliber expected.

The Boston Comedy Festival Contest has become known for its ability to provide significant breaks to up-and-coming comics. This is a great chance to see talented comedians destined to be household names.

The Boston Comedy Festival Contest started out with 96 bright-eyed comics from all over the country competing for a chance at $10,000 in prize money. Now it’s down to 16! Eight will perform in Semi-Finals One, the remaining eight in Semi-Finals Two. Only four comics will move on to the Finals!

*Hosted by Joe List

Special Guest: Howard Feller

*October 12: Semi-Finals Two

*Hosted by Kevin Bozeman

Special Guest: Kevin Downey, Jr.

About the Ticket Supplier: Boston Comedy Festival

The Boston International Comedy & Movie Festival began back in 2000 as a way to showcase New England stand-up comedy talent to bigger audiences and the entertainment industry. Given the long line of successful comedians who got their start in Boston, it seemed to be a natural fit for such a festival. The audience agreed, and the event has grown every year. In addition to the traditional stand-up comedy routines, the festival also includes improv, sketch comedy, and one-person theatre shows, as well as the newly expanded movie portion of this festival.
