Die Fledermaus is the most popular comic operetta ever written. In Johann Strauss Jr.'s sparkling musical comedy, everyone's trying to get something: a pair of friends engage in a fierce battle of pranks, a beautiful wife disguises herself as a Hungarian countess and contemplates infidelity, and her maid just wants to be an actress. All their schemes intertwine at a grand ball with hilariously comic results. You'll enjoy some of the greatest waltzes ever written, and since the all-student cast sings in English, you won't miss out on the plot. Learn More

The dancing was very engaging; the young dancers were impressive; but the organization of the event left a lot to be desired. It was almost impossible to get any information about the program, the timing, etc. and the time on the ticket and in the PR was different from the starting times at the theater. Lots of wasted time, standing around, milling, and wondering. Come on folks - it's not rocket science - AND it was poorly attended, which leads me to believe that the PR and marketing was very poor. I only found out about it by accident. I would have thought that Boston Ballet would have done a significant blitz about it.
