I enjoyed the Boston movie tour very much. Our tour guide was very informative, a film major at a local college. The one thing I liked about the bus tour (as opposed to the walking tour) - we got to see clips of many movies on the bus as we were driving to the various sites. We stopped for a half hour in South Boston at the L Street Tavern where some of Good Will Hunting was filmed. That was pretty fun. We also got out at several other locations for a few minutes to take photos, etc. The tour ended at the original Cheers.Written on Apr 16 2012
My only complaint: some of the video clips were too dark to see.

Due to several technical problems and a nearly lousy job by the tour guide, this turned out to be a terrible experience that had to be cut way short because the projection monitor stopped working. I have requested a refund.Written on Mar 19 2012

Awesome tour! They take you around in a bus watching movie clips and whammo look out the window is exactly the place in the clip you just watched. Very, very cool!Written on Mar 12 2012

It was great that we were able to get off the bus to take some pictures, but the tour wasn't as climatic as I expected. I did a Sex and the City on Location tour in NYC and had a great time! I expected it to be somewhat similar but it wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be. (Then again, sex and the city is all about glamour and shoes and sex). Overall, the tour was good and I learned a lot more about all the different movies/shows that were shot in Boston or in MA so that was interesting. I like how there were video clips to watch and then have the guide show us where the scene was shot. That was pretty neat.Written on Mar 12 2012

Description
Lights, camera, Boston! Take a guided bus tour to the sites of your favorite movies and TV shows filmed in Boston. See the city the way your favorite TV and movie stars see it.
Boston TV & Movie Sites begins in Boston Common, the 50-acre central park in the city, and continues toward the gorgeous brownstones situated on the little streets of Beacon Hill. From here, you'll travel through Back Bay to Copley and continue into South Boston, aka "Southie," the largest Irish neighborhood in the city. The end of the tour will take you around North End and West End and will commence back at Boston Common.
This tour takes place on a coach bus since the locations are spread out all around Boston. But you'll get off the bus at a number of locations along the way, giving you the opportunity to experience the locations and take pictures. Whenever you leave the bus, it is with the tour guide. The tour includes a mix of on-the-bus viewings of locations and stops to get off the bus to explore, all woven into the story of how they relate to the TV shows and movies in which they're featured.
You'll end up at the famous Cheers bar, where you can see if everybody knows your name!
