To be honest, I didn't really know who Colin Kane was before attending the show. I saw a few clips on-line and thought he might be fun to see. I'm mixed about this show. Unfortunately, the club was half empty. When he came out, I don't think he was happy about it. We came off a bit like a smug jerk at first, but after awhile, you realize that's part of the act. Boston can be a bit conservative and I think he was looking for a wild, rambunctious crowd and didn't find one. He also seemed to kind of walking through the motions and talking on the fly. You can't just stand there, stare at the audience and just expect them to laugh at you. You gotta work for the laughs if you want them. Was he funny: yes. Could he have been better: absolutely. You only get back as much as you give when it comes to comedy. On a side note, the venue was amazing. I'm glad to see a nice comedy club with friendly and accommodating staff. I will be going back to a show in the near future for sure.
