Happy Medium Theatre presents The American Plan, by playwright Richard Greenberg, a two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist best known for his "Best Play" Tony-winner, Take Me Out. Acclaimed for his subversive yet humorous depictions of the American middle class, in The American Plan, Greenberg takes us back to the Catskills in the 1960s, where young, troubled Lili Adler falls head-over-heels in love with golden boy Nick Lockridge. Lili's mother, a German-Jewish refugee who believes that happiness is "for other people," drives a wedge between them as her suspicion of All-American boy Nick leads to manipulation. Greenberg's compelling characters and lyrical dialogue come to vivid, yet tragic life in the hands of the five talented and up-and-coming Boston Fringe Theatre actors who make up the cast. Learn More
