This may sound crazy (and it kind of is), but Frost Ice Bar is literallty made of ice. That includes the walls, the bar, the booths, the dramatic chandelier and even the drink glasses. It's like stepping into a gorgeous polar wonderland, complete with an icy swan boat you can climb aboard. Marvel at the breathtaking ice sculptures while sipping handcrafted cocktails and snapping photos to capture the one-of-a-kind experience. (If you don't, people may not believe you.) And don't worry, you won't be sent into the frosty 21-degree environment without being prepared: You'll be provided with a furry, insulated cape and warm gloves to shield you from the chill. It was easy to order the tickets and pick them up at the door for open seating. Our 8 year old boy, and 6 year old girl, chose the seats. Ella and I (grandma) watched the movie (Roberto Benigni) the night before.
Ben is learning to play the viola in school, so enjoyed watching the musicians. Ella is learning the piano. Grandpa is a musician, so we all appreciate musical events, especially for children. (We go to BSO.) Both kids were familiar with the Pinocchio and Midas stories. We told friends with children about Goldstar and sent them the link to sign up. We would not have attended this concert without Goldstar. My husband and I have enjoyed several plays at various theatres around town, because of Goldstar.
