From the Ground Up: New Works for Conservatory Dancers
Boston Conservatory dance students get a chance to show their stuff with works created especially for them by some of the world's leading contemporary choreographers in From the Ground Up. Francesca Harper, the former principal dancer of Ballet Frankfurt, developed a piece, as did Juilliard graduate Adam Barruch, whose works have been presented at Dance Theater Workshop, City Center, the Baryshnikov Arts Center, Cunningham Studio, Ailey-Citigroup Theater and elsewhere. Faculty members Richard Colton and Dance Division director Cathy Young also contributed to the show, including an expansion of Young's Spring 2013 premiere Near/Miss.
