I loved this musical. Even better than the movies,which is how I first saw Hairspray. It had a light, but deep spin on really tough issues which I appreciated. 110% Fun. Would definitely see again! And, I got upgraded to four rows from the stage. Thanks Goldstar!!!Written on Apr 02 2009

I thought it, basically, was what I call a "popcorn musical"...no real depth....but sometimes very amusing. No "Sweeney Todd" or "Company" etc....not like the musical we enjoyed just the day before "Dessa Rose". That had depth and meaning.Written on Apr 28 2008
