Bang your head and rock out to four solid bands during what just may be the hard rock tour of summer 2014. Headlining this show at the beautiful, historic Wilbur Theatre is Quiet Riot, the first heavy metal band to top the pop charts. Their 1983 album Metal Health sold more than 6 million copies, driven by the success of the classic rock anthem "Cum on Feel the Noize." They're joined by Faster Pussycat, led by original lead singer Taime Downe. Faster Pussycat achieved success in the '80s with their raucous, unapologetically sleazy brand of glam metal. Their biggest album, 1989's Wake Me When It's Over, was certified gold. Also on the bill: glam metal band BulletBoys, who sold over a million records in the '80s and early '90s with a sound reminiscent of Van Halen with R&B-influenced vocals, and Gilby Clarke, a former Guns N' Roses member who's also played guitar for Heart, Nancy Sinatra and the MC5. We had a great time! the band sounded great! you could tell they put a lot of time and effort into it, they seem to live it. loved the Pink Floyd videos playing in the background. FUN!! The only thing that was not fun was getting soaked from somebody behind us (or over us) from someone spilling a bottle of water. And then there was a gentleman beside us who just stretched out and napped and snored through quite a bit of it! The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 was that i dont think i would have described it as a laser show. It was just a bunch of blinking lights. no lasers. But i definitely had a great time for the price!
