Based on the 1992 Whoopi Goldberg film, Sister Act tells the hilarious story of club singer and wannabe disco diva Deloris Van Cartier. After she witnesses a crime, the cops hide Deloris in a convent, where her special brand of funk collides with the traditions of the church, shaking up the nuns and their daily routine. Under the suspicious watch of overbearing Mother Superior, Deloris helps her fellow sisters find their voices as she unexpectedly rediscovers her own. This feel-good comedy features music by Tony- and eight-time Academy Award-winner Alan Menken (Newsies, Little Shop of Horrors, Beauty and the Beast), and has been called "ridiculously fun" (New York Post) and "a pull-out-the-stops, big Broadway musical" (The New York Observer).

It was funny at times but a bit of a let down, expected something like the movie. Some things I felt were offensive like talking about Jesus on a stick I would not be quick to recommend it to anyone

Sister Act was fantastic! The musical will have you dancing and singing in your seats. The set and costumes were beautiful and the cast...FABULOUS! My seats were pretty good too.
