Members Who Went Said:Seats were fine. I liked some things about it - voices were excellent, orchestra fine. I think I prefer the original - not a condensed English language version~
Anonymous Member Our seats were in the second row of the orchestra, which was wonderful. The music and singing were so great , it was overwhelming. I'm sure that I saw future starts of the world of opera.
d. i am used to attending the opera of the Philadelphia Opera Company or the Opera Company of Philadelphia. I thought the singers were so-so, certainly better than college students (they were aged in their 30s and 40s), but not true professional, in my opinion. the voices were fine in parts and then "let you down," by being not as strong in other parts. i thought Stephanie Chigas' acting was very good as Carmen, and i enjoyed the production. my seats through Goldstar were fantastic! i was leery about being off to the side somewhere, but these seats were great! i was very pleased. only downside was the $6 service fee. thought the service fee should have been half of that. |
