My Son the Waiter, A Jewish Tragedy tells the humor-filled and heartwarming tale of actor-comedian Brad Zimmerman, whose 29-year quest to build a performing career is supported by a "temporary" job in the restaurant industry. Zimmerman, who's opened for Joan Rivers, George Carlin and Brad Garrett, shares stories of his oft-hilarious family, career and none-too-successful love life in this one-man show that's played to appreciative audiences across the country. You might also recognize him from The Sopranos, where he played Johnny Sack's lawyer -- so at least he could say he met his parents' expectations, even if it was as a fictional character. Learn More

The acoustics were rather poor, making it difficult to impossible to hear/comprehend what 2 of the actors were saying. My wife and I both missed much of the humor because we simply didn't hear the "punchline." (The woman next to us also kept asking her companion, :"What did she/he say?")
The set was sparse - as it should have been. The actors worked very well with each other. The story line is excellent!
It was a pleasant enough evening, but could/should have been a fun, memorable evening.

I did not enjoy the performance and left at the intermission. For those interested in attending the Boston Playwrights Theatre, parking is a real problem. I suggest that you try to the sports complex where the BU hockey games are played
Due to mature language and drug references, Thinking of You is recommended for those age 12 or older.
