Born and raised in England, Tina Packer is an internationally renowned figure in the world of Shakespeare. The founding artistic director of Lenox's legendary Shakespeare & Company, Packer's a noted Shakespearian actor, director, expert and scholar. For this appearance, dubbed The Theatre of War: 21st Century America, Shakespeare and the Trojan War
, she'll discuss the ideal of the warrior code of honor as it relates to her upcoming production of Troilus & Cressida
at the Modern Theatre. James Carroll, a distinguished scholar-in-residence at Suffolk University, will moderate the conversation.
