The play was amateurish and appeared to have been written by a college sophomore. We had much higher expectations of this community theater; the four of us agreed that the few bright spots in the play did not warrant an entire afternoon of our weekend time. Furthermore, the title, A Play on Words, had virtually nothing to do with the theme of the play. The one vignette where the play on words was worked into the production using the word “head” was very enjoyable. Unfortunately, it was all too brief. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and has soured us on the Brea Community Theater.

I'm sorry but we really did not like this...the play itself was not clever and the acting was sub-professional. It was supposed to be a comedy but I'm sure we did not laugh more than twice the whole evening. The Curtis Theater and its' customers deserve better than this.

This play was extremely creative, and satisfied anyone who loves words, BUT the performance felt like we were attending a family show produced for the balance of the family... and that door sticking all the time didn't help.
