Kevin Farley is the younger brother of the late comedian Chris Farley, and in the last two decades, he's established a successful career for himself as a comedian and actor. Kevin has been seen in such films as The Waterboy and Dirty Work, as well as TV's Curb Your Enthusiasm, Mind of Mencia, Just Shoot Me, 3rd Rock From the Sun, That's So Raven, That '70s Show, and the MTV spoof 2gether, in which he played boy band member Doug Linus. I knew this comedian has been on the circuit for many years &, based on a promo clip of his at a previous Brea Improv event, decided to give him a look/listen. He was absolutely hilarious & presented very "clean" humor you could relate to! And loved his Bronx accent & slight Rodney Dangerfield "nervous" mannerisms. I even had to hand an extra napkin to the guy next to us who was bending over with tears of laughter streaming down his face! I will definitely plan on seeing him again when he returns! Just added him to my "favorites" list.
Rocky LaPorte has lived an amazing life. He was an undefeated professional boxer until a hamstring injury cut his career short. He was a truck driver who could barely make ends meet and then one day while recovering from a stab wound, he decided he would try stand-up comedy. On his first ever performance, he got a three minute applause break when he said “hey how ya doin’?”
Today, Rocky is one of the most sought after comedians in the country. His clean observations about his life and family have made him a favorite in all of the top comedy clubs in the country, college campuses, corporate events, and television shows.
With notable appearances on NBC’s “Late Friday”, “Friday Night”, & “Cheers”, Fox’s “The Magic Hour”,& “Comic Strip Live”, Comedy Central’s “Make Me Laugh Show”, A&E’s “Caroline’s Comedy Hour” & “Evening at The Improv”, VH1’s “Stand-Up Spotlight”, BSB/London’s “The Last Laugh”, Animal Planet’s “Comedy Unleashed”, Game Show Network’s “Funny Money”, CBS “The Pat Sajak Show” and his own pilot “The Rocky LaPorte Show” he is no stranger to success.
