Comedian and actor Felipe Esparza, 2010 winner of Last Comic Standing, is the same Felipe often referred to in Gabriel Iglesias' infamous stories. Esparza grew up in East L.A. and is known for his wild curly hair, his catchphrase, "What's up, fool?", and his jokes about everyday life, seen through his unique lens. He's performed live nationwide and on all the TV stand-up shows, and has appeared in two films: The Deported with Nick Turturro and Paul Rodriguez, and I'm Not Like That No More, a movie based on his own stand-up, in which he stars opposite Paul Rodriquez. view more less of this reviewAbsolutely loved his show!!!! He's super funny and upbeat, really knows how to work the crowd. Saw him a couple months ago in Irvine and his routine varies, so only about half of his act was the same, which I don't mind, because it's hilarious! Plus, the 2 people that opened for him in Irvine were different in Brea.
As for the venue, Brea Improv needs some help in the customer service department. If you don't order every food and drink item you're going to want the entire night at the very beginning, you will never see your waiter again. This happens EVERY time I've been there (10+).

star this review starred report as inappropriateThis was the best comedy show I've seen in a very long time! It's actually the second time I've seen him live, and he presented a lot of new material from the time I saw him a couple of years ago. Sebastian is SO funny and refreshingly original. Also nice that he's not a vulgar comedian, so I didn't have to squirm uncomfortably next to my husband and friends. In fact, I laughed so hard, from beginning to end of his show, that my stomach ached! A very nice touch, is that he hangs outside of the club to meet everyone and pose for pics! A super nice, as well as genuinely funny guy! I would highly recommend and will go back to see him again, and again, and again, and again....
