I thought the male actors were good, but the role of the mother had a
high, shrill voice which my guest and I found unnerving and the wife was not a strong actress. We thought of leaving at intermission and didn't and were sorry after. Sorry, but I would not recommend this
play.

Some of the speech was a little rushed, so I did not catch all their words even though I am a Brit. As a result some timing was slightly off, loosing some of the potential humour.
However, the enthusiasm of the players made the experience pleasantly involving. Would I go again, yes, once the director did a run through on the delivery timing.

The show had a great title, but it was very dated. We've seen several British comedies by Oscar Wilde, GB Shaw, and Somerset Maugham, and this simply didn't measure up. It was probably risque enough in the 1970s to pack them in, but today it was kind of tame. there's a reason it closed after 16 performances on Broadway.
